Baby = Internet Marketing

It's been some time since I last created a post in this blog. One of the main reason is this little fella over here.
Isn't she lovely? :)



Now, if anyone has been exploring internet marketing like me, you can find being a new father quite a similar experience. Both exciting and overwhelming. And they both can drive you nuts!

First, you have to think of a 'domain name' and get it registered at the birth registrar, not unlike registering at godaddy.com. You have to pay in both instances and you wonder why.

Then there's 'webhosting'. In the baby's case, well the hosting is not too bad as we can use the existing 'host' used by the parents. Just make sure when you register the name, you point the 'DNS' to your home address and not your neighbours!

Similar to internet marketing, there are so many tools out there you could purchase for your internet business. The number of products and services available in the market for newborns is truly amazing! And some of the sales pitch for such baby products are just as hyped up! Heck! Imagine paying a monthly fee to store away the baby's stem cells from the umbilical cord when they haven't figured out what to do with it yet. And there's no guarantee after a year or two of storage (and thousands of dollars) that they can come back and tell you,
"Good news! We've found out what we could do with the stem cells. Now the bad news is that the stem cells that we stored for you are no longer useable!"

Then there's the troublesome cries from the baby in the night. Hey, I've heard many a cry from internet marketer newbies in the middle of the night too when their website just refuse to function as it is!

The baby craps a lot. Well, at the beginning, most websites by newbie internet marketers are pretty crap too.

Then there's the incessant demand by the baby for your attention. Well, internet marketing is supposed to help you "make money while you sleep". But at the begining if you are totally new and have no idea what is happening, it's more like "make no money and get no sleep"

But of course, there's always pleasure at the end of the effort to make it all worth the while. And there'll be rewards as we gain experience and get better. Occassionally the baby gives you that sweet smile that melts your heart away. The same kind of feeling when you make your first online sale, and nobody can wipe the smile of your face the whole day! That's the reason we go into internet marketing or for the same matter having a baby.
