Ok, tonight I am hosting a masterminding session with my friends who went for the Internet Wealth Code. Most of them are still new and although the seminar provided a wealth of information and ideas, it can become too overwhelming.

So, the next best thing is to get a group of people together, commit to start something and learn from the process.

This is my idea for tonight :

1. Get everybody to introduce themselves and their strengths
2. What are their goals and action plan
3. What did they learn from the Internet Wealth Code
4. To start something, I'll be teaching them to at least start a blog
5. Then discuss market research strategies.

I'm planning to record it, hopefully the sound quality turn out nice. And then make it available here, well, after you opt-in of course :) I have to experiment and practice what I'm learning shouldn't I?

So I'm excited about what we are going to do tonight, hopefully get some cool photos for all to see.

PLUS here's something I found that is quite useful for anyone keen to start a blog and learn how to earn Adsense revenue. It's good for beginners, found this link courtesy of another knowledgeable internet master although not very well known in Singapore. He shared this in one of the local internet marketing forum.

More on breaking the Internet Wealth Code.

Today I've decided I'm going to explore what else I can do for my blog. So far I have experimented adding Adsense and tried out putting an Amazon affiliate at my sidebar. Also tried positioning a banner at the top of my blog. Also, I have installed a statcounter to track the traffic to the blog.

Next I'm going to check out feedburner.com and figure out how I can create an RSS feed to generate more traffic to this blog.

The other thing I want to test out, is how to do 'backtracking'. Will update this post as soon as I get some head and tail about it.

Even Internet Marketers have to lead a normal life!

Here's me doing some 'batman' duties the morning before Stephen Pierce's session on Sunday morning.

Together with my 'superheroes' friends, we were at the Man Fut Tong Nursing Home Fundraising fair to share about vegetarianism. Reason is because Christian Bale, the actor for Batman, Tobey McGuire in Spiderman and Alicia Silverstone who acted as BatGirl were all vegetarian.

Now then, what has this got to do with Internet Marketing?

Well the story goes like this. Now our goal was to attract attention so that we can spread our message that you can be strong, healthy and beautiful too being a vegetarian (check out the real Christian Bale's abs!)

So we walked around the Home, not surprisingly getting a lot of attention especially the kids who wanted to take photos with us.

Then we ventured to an area where there was a stage and an MC on a mike. Since there are more people there, we decided to go there to get some attention so that we can spread our message.

Well, we got some response but it was shortlived because the MC having the power of the mike and the stage got the audience focused back on performances on the stage. That's when my 'spidey' friend concluded 'We can't compete with someone who has the mic!'

Which comes back to the moral of the story that Stephen shared with us and is really the key to internet marketing success- Find a market that you can WIN!

Don't go head-on to compete with others who already has a foothold of a market.
"Don't disturb the herd, Serve the herd!"

Phew-wee! Finally ended.

Finally, we've concluded the Internet Wealth Code 2006.

Sorry for the short write-up on Stephen's session. His session was so enthralling and
absorbing, I didn't had time to type as he speaks.

Now that the dust has settled, I can write down some thoughts about the event.

As I went around asking the people how they feel about the program and whether they liked it. Most were glad that they got lots of new information but the general feel is, can I do this?

Which explains why so many people signed up for Stephen Pierce's program because he addressed all these issues. Ok for those who signed up for Stephen's program, get ready to get your butts kicked if you don't do your assignments! haha!

Anyway, Stephen's having a HOT group masterminding session tomorrow for his existing and new clients. More updates on that tomorrow.

As for today, kudos to Johan and Ewen for making this Internet Wealth Code a success and not forgetting the great people at Success Resource who made it all possible.

Finally the speakers were great, the participants left in high spirits. Now it's time to get down to some work on APPLY what we learned!

He shares a few quotes from successful people about why 'Selling' is so important for an internet business for example this one:

Jo Han did some cool magic tricks but the real magic is this - In order to market effectively, you need to get into your customers mind! Now that he got into my mind, I don't know what else to blog anymore!

Phew! Now that I can take sometime to view the notes, Johan really did his homework. Check out some of the stuff he got for us on copywriting and sales letter later.

For example, who ever heard of the Zeigarnik Effect? - the power of unfinished thoughts. If I understand correctly, what you can do in your sales copy is leave something hanging making your reader want to click on to know more, much like watching drama serials that you can't wait for the next episode the following day. Still not sure, more explanation in tomorrow's blog! :)

But I like this one, the Homer Simpson effect! Always write a sales copy as though you are writing for Homer Simpson. Why? Because most people are ordinary and have short span of attention. Doh! This post is getting too long....that's it, no more. Doh!

I've got the 'Tom Hua' virus!

Alright, it's time for Tom Hua, the multimillionaire who made his wealth via internet marketing. Hard to believe he onced travelled from China to Australia with only $300 in his pocket and even had to sleep on the streets! BTW, do a Google search on 'Tom Hua' or 'FreeToSell' and you'll see millions of websites selling his product. How did he do so well? Viral marketing.


Sometimes we think Internet marketing business is quite difficult and we don't know where to start.

Tom starts by sharing how it can be simplified into 3 steps to your internet wealth. Here it is,

1. Have a product
2. Build a website
3. Generate traffic

Now, then go into each area in more details and start from there. He's on the first point right now. Will update again when he reached the traffic generation part which is his specialty!

Ok, here is something I picked up but you'll probably understanad this better if you have already started doing affiliate marketing. "Offer Brandable Affiliate Links in your product!" and "Offer Master Reseller Rights with 2 levels of Brandable Affilate Links"

Don't understand what I'm talking about? Wait for my viral product one day! Heh heh!! :)

End of Day 1

Finally, it's the end of day 1 of the Internet Wealth Code. For those who do not know what's happening, I'd better give some introduction of what this blog is about.

Basically, I've been keen to explore internet marketing and how to create wealth using the internet. It's like a code, and we all want to break the internet wealth code don't we? Why? To generate lots of wealth of course. But most importantly so we can get out of the rat-race!

So I'm attending this course right now organised by Singapore's very own internet gurus Jo Han Mok and Ewen Chia called, what else "Internet Wealth Code". Thanks to them, we've got a solid 300-page folder and good resources in CDs to start your own internet business.

Tomorrow, we will have some more good speakers like Tom Hua and not forgetting my teacher, Stephen Pierce. (must confess, have missed a couple of his telecoaching calls and needing to catch up on the assignments!) He's truly committed and a great inspiration to see how he has succeeded in Internet Marketing, someone who has truly created enormous wealth.

So picking up to where I was mentioning about the day. A packed day with loads of information about internet marketing and things to explore. First thing of course is to tidy up this blogsite! Basically started doing it at the same time David Cavanagh was demonstrating starting a blog and the he said "Take Action tonight". So I was thinking, "why not now?"

Ok great, no one else has registered "internet wealth code", might as well do it and ta-da!

Let me know what you think about this blog. Now, I have to go figure how to go about creating those AdSense ......

Great! It's time with the creator of "TheInterviewWithGod.com", Morgan Westerman!!
Check out a cool shot I took when he's on stage.

His website is generating 1.2 million unique hits a month and if you do a Google search for "God", you'll see his website ranked #1 and that's not because he optimised his website using SEO. So how does this guy generate outrageous traffic to the website?! His answer - BUZZ marketing!

Basically he shared the various creative ways to create a BUZZ and then have people do the referring for you like evangelists!

Here's sharing 4 steps to turn visitors into evangelists

1. Know who your target audience is
   
2. Know how they’re finding your website
3. Know what specific action you want them to take
   
4. Know what is the FEELING your visitors need to feel in order for them to want to share your website

As he shared how his successes came about, he let in on a secret of how it all spreaded to millions of people. "Tell 2 people what you are doing and then tell them NOT to tell anyone!" Haha!

Fabian is a guest 'speaker' who is actually a student of Jo Han that made it.

He's now sharing
"How I created a US100,000 internet biz in under 8 mths from scratch just working part time"

He launched his website in July 05 and focus on a niche : keyword research

Results after 8 Months :

Opt in mailing list 10,000

Not bad from someone who doesn't know anything about computers, H TML etc!

2nd Speaker - Ewen Chia

Now we have Ewen on stage to share the '7 Lost secrets to your affiliate wealth'

Ewen is one of internet's top affiliate marketer having won many affiliate marketing competitions.

He is now sharing about his secrets for example finding the right market by doing keyword research etc.

He recommends using software like www.goodkeywords.com that is downloadable for free. The other examples are KeyWordEmpire.com and WordTracker.com but have to pay.

Now comes the secret that he says most affiliate marketer fail to do. When we do affiliate marketing normally we send traffic to the sellers website. But then it means we lose the chance to collect customer information etc. Instead, do an affiliate opt-in page before sending the traffic over! That means collect the names and emails before sending them over to the sellers website so you can continue to build a relationship with the prospects.

That's so simple but most of us forget to incorporate such a system when we do affiliate marketing. This is important because the money is in the follow-up! For example, you could do following email followups

Email 1 : A welcome message (Day 0)
"Hi, welcome for signing up blah blah blah"
Email 2 : A reminder (Day 2)
"Hey, remember you signed up blah blah blah"
Email 3 : Content/Story (Day 5)
"You know, I used this product so and so and got this benefit blah blah blah"
Email 4 : Special Bonus (Day 8)
"If you buy this product within a so-and-so period, I'll give you a SPECIAL bonus blah blah blah"
Email 5 : Bonus Deadline (Day 10)
"Your bonus deadline is up! buy buy buy!!"

Ok, all the "messages" are my examples, not Ewen's! Well, they did say when you do an affiliate you should add in your own stuff right! :)
